PARISH COUNCIL INFORMATION Monday, October 20, 2014

Parish Council
The Parish Council consist of six members, plus our invaluable Parish Clerk.

Register of Interests
The Localism Act requires that a parish council makes available, via its website, the Register of Declarations of Interest provided by the parish councillors.  South Oxfordshire District Council is
preparing the registers of interest for district, town and parish councillors which can be found at:  http://www.southoxon.gov.uk/services-and-advice/local-democracy/councillors-and-committees/rules-councillors/declaration-interes

Minutes
The minutes of each meeting are published here one month after the meeting, once they have been approved as an accurate account of the meeting.

Planning
Every planning application submitted to SODC which falls within the boundary of Stoke Row is reviewed by the Parish Council Planning Sub-Committee. We endevour to make contact with both the applicant and immediate neighbours in order to inform our views on the application. The Parish Council’s view is just one input to SODC’s planning decision, and it not sufficient on its own to force an application to SODC’s planning committee for review. To understand more about the planning process and local plan, refer to: http://www.southoxon.gov.uk

You will find the details about both current and past plans for the area on their site.

Notice Board
We endevour to maintain this area to reflect the key notices published on each of the Parish Council Notice Boards, however this is not a comprehensive list.

Parishioner Feedback
This area of the site is intended to spark discussion on local issues relating to the key areas for which the PC is responsible or has an interest/influence over, namely:

  • Playground
  • Planning
  • Footpaths
  • Local Ameneties
  • Local highway issues, eg potholes, damage, etc
