It’s spring again, well the sun is shining at least, and the
time has arrived to renew your family
membership of Stoke Row Club.
For the last 5 years we have kept membership fees at the 2008 level as
our income was equal to or greater than our expenditure. In 2012, however, maintenance costs for the
tennis courts, pavilion and recreation ground increased significantly and our
income was less than our costs.
The family membership
fee will be £85 this year, or less than £1 per week if two members of the
family play tennis and/or cricket. This
subscription fee includes all
children living at home and those
in full time education and indeed
your children who have left home but want to play when they visit you. You may also invite your visiting House
Guests to play.
The two courts are in magnificent condition and there is a
very easy system for booking a court to play on and Club Nights will be
starting again now that the clocks have changed.
If your interest is in cricket, we are introducing a Sunday
Development XI and Matt Kimber will be delighted to hear from you should you
wish to find out more - kimber_matthew@yahoo.co.uk
Also, remember that as a member you get a discount on hiring
the pavilion for personal parties, family get togethers etc. and any tennis or
cricket coaching that we may organise.
Gift Aid. Very many thanks to those members who in
previous years have been able to gift aid money, which of course we are able to
claim the tax back on. The rules state
that this must be ADDITIONAL TO YOUR
MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION and if
you would like to make a small donation we would be most grateful. It helps us achieve our promise to try to
keep our subscriptions as low as possible so that as many people in Stoke Row
as possible can afford to enjoy our wonderful facilities.
I have attached your membership renewal form which includes
the information I have on file for you.
If any of these details have changed then please let me know, and if you
do wish to add gift aid then you will need to sign the form and either email or
post it to me. The form also gives
details on how to pay by internet transfer using your family name as the
reference, or of course you may send me a cheque.
Our AGM was held on 25th March and all directors
stood for re-election for another term.
The published accounts for The Club are now available and if you would
like to receive a copy then please let me know.
We would be grateful if all subscriptions could be paid by
27th April at the latest as we will be changing the access codes on
this date. Upon renewal you will
automatically receive the new code for access to the courts and pavilion and a
list of tennis events for the year. If
you would like to receive a list of the cricket fixtures or cycling events for
the season then please let me know. For
